Two Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship positions are available to begin each July. Fellows will train in an interdisciplinary care team that includes oncologists, a dietician, a genetic counselor, a psychiatrist, social workers, supportive care specialists, wellness experts and others who help patients focus on the things most important to them and their healing.
Fellows will also have the opportunity to conduct translational, clinical, prevention or health services research with outstanding faculty throughout The University of Texas at Austin and Dell Medical School campuses.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Satisfactorily complete an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-accredited (or otherwise approved by ACGME) internal medicine residency before start of fellowship.
- Be American Board of Internal Medicine board eligible or board certified in internal medicine.
- Have passed the United States Medical Licensing Examination step exams.

Following initial application review, the program will invite selected applicants for interviews, which are held from September to mid-November. Match results are released in early December, according to the NRMP medicine subspecialties calendar.
