About the Event

The annual Dell Med Educational Innovation, Research and Awards Symposium recognizes outstanding contributions to medical education. The UT community as well as friends and family of award winners and poster presenters are welcome to attend.

Dean Claudia Lucchinetti, M.D., will present the keynote address.

Upon request, Dell Medical School will provide interpretation services at this event. Please notify Tyler Rhoads by July 31 if interpretation is needed

Dell Med is pleased to sponsor nine different awards, six of which are open for nomination and application, in recognition of outstanding contributions to our educational mission. The nomination process is detailed for each award on the webpage. Please consider nominating yourself, nominating someone else and encouraging others to self-nominate.

Call for Posters

Deadline: July 31

Faculty, fellows, residents and medical students are invited to present scholarly work in educational research or innovation in poster format. This can be recent work presented at other meetings or future work for the purpose of receiving feedback. Examples from past posters include education in communication skills, community engagement, curriculum innovation, feedback and assessment, innovative teaching tools and interprofessional education. 

The poster session will use a facilitated discussion format. If selected, presenters are asked to participate for the entire poster session.
